Mechanical Engineering
A selection of special carbon, stainless, and tool steel grades, designed for high performance and good workshop properties to meet the requirements of mechanical engineering.
SIQUAL special steels require final heat treatment to achieve the desired elasticity, strength, ductility, toughness and fatigue resistance. These steel grades are mostly delivered in the annealed condition. This makes it easy for the customer to perform the mechanical processing and final quenching and tempering to achieve the required mechanical properties. Their use is extremely versatile, e.g. springs, small mechanical parts, machine parts, high-stressed components, clutches, shafts, axles, turned parts, and welded structures. SIMOLD tool steels have good machinability, temperature resistance, dimensional stability and wear resistance. They are suitable for cutting tools and machine parts. SITHERM hot work tool steels have excellent resistance to high temperatures and are perfect for highly stressed structural parts. SINOXX stainless steels are selected for their good machinability and high corrosion resistance. They are used for processing equipment, valves, machine parts, pump shafts, precision components etc. in corrosive and other aggressive environments.
